Relapse?!

I have been clean for 7 days and have a surgery for my torn arm set for the 17th day which i would be clean.  if i took 1-3 pills the day after my sugery. and then just use over the counter ones to manage pain. will i get withdrawls all over again? If its just for that day or to? (My past has been I have gotten up to 60 mg for six months). Plez help.

I agree 100% with ABN...have someone hold the pills for you. After day 2 flush them down the toilet. I'm sorry you're having surgery so soon into your recovery but I've seen it done before with success. Good luck, and, no, I don't think you'll go through w/ds again (but I wouldn't extend the usage past 2 days just to be sure).

P.S. It was actually Vicoden...not Norco but that's irrelevant. What I wanted to say is that since you are so new into recovery, it would be wise to have someone in charge of your pain pills. When I had surgery I was already clean for over 2 years. At 17 days, you need to have a plan in place. Having someone hold the pills with it already planned that they will only be used for 3 days.

I had hernia surgery June 2012 and was prescribed Norcos. I took them for 3 days and tossed the rest. I did not have any withdrawals from 3 days use. You should be fine.
