Desperate for advice

Ok. my boyfriend got hurt playing soccer about 2 years ago.someone gave him a roxy to help with the pain now he is selling them and is fully adddicted. i do not want the pills and have no desire to seek them out when im not around him but he does them so often that i always end up giving in to temptation whn we are together. i love him and we have been together for almst 4 years and i believe in my heart he is just as sick of them as i am. but he is terrified of withdrawl symptoms because he has to work.. we are poor and have NO choice in the matter. he cant loose his job and because , well in our minds, we keep it underwraps but im pretty sure people suspect it. how long would his withdrawls last and how severe will they be? i dont want him to be in unbearable pain and i have read that opiate addiction is a nerve disorder that can cause death in some cases.
please please help

Well that sounds like my gf and i, how many are you guys taking a day? I know all to well that dead end road you are on. See if he can take at least a week off work, if he can that's about 9 days off, he should be able to get back to a functioning state by then. I'm on day 12 off em and i started na meetings a few days back and has been my savior.Ya'll are not alone in this and there are lots of people willing to help, starting here.

Being terrified of the withdrawal symptoms seems to be quite common. It is an unknown entity the first time and you know nothing about it. Its only normal to be afraid of the unknown - especially when there is so much conflicting advice about the withdrawals. You will not die from withdrawal unless you have a previous underlying condition that gets you. And you should be aware of it if you have such a condition. If he is so worried about quiting the things ....... ask him to project the future while trying to satiate an ever increasing oxy habit.  Even if you are poor you have choices........ And continuing the use of the roxy's is a poor choice for both of you.........................

sorry about your situation but, opiate addiction is not a "nerve disorder" and you dont die from it.  Unless, ofcourse you overdoese your liver fails.
Withdrawls can be really painful but you'll fell MUCH better in approx 5 days

Good Luck!
