Yes I agree with everyone first off I would talk to the doctor prescribing you the meds and let them know .Then you will have to decide whether you want to continue going down this road or find another way to handle your pain. Most of us have found our pain is far better off the meds then on it does not happen right away but it does happen.
I agree with sway....I had major back issues, bulging disks, etc. Was on pills for a looonngg time. When I got clean, I was amazed at how the pain wasnt as bad as I thought it was! Was it just in my head to get more pills? Or using it as a great excuse? I think so!!
You should really look into tapering down, then quitting altogether, or just STOP DOING IT!! The latter is the road I went, it was hell, but 32 days later, I'm so glad I did!
Good luck, and please don't die in the meantime!
there comes a time when there just aren't enough pills in the world to relieve pain. that's a sign that the time has come to get clean and reassess your pain. believe it or not, those little pills end up creating pain. this is something i have lived. i know it probably doesn't make sense. once i stopped taking pain pills, my pain was not as bad as it had been. addiction is trully cunning. it takes, never giving. it uses, never replacing. i hope you choose to do something about it.
I wouldn't stay on a dose that high....especially when, by your own words, it barely numbs the pain! I'm with sara. If you want to stop, we will support you all the way.
Do you want to get off the pills? If you dont your tolerance will keep going up and there will come a time soon when your body wont be able to handle this. We are here to help you if you want off......sara
I am not sure how long the body can sustain the dosages, but I wouldn't want to find out. We are all different and our bodies are different but sounds to me like somebody up there is looking out for you.
Are you wanting to quit?
