I am on day 16 today and trying to get there. The last few days have been rough. At work during the day I got a call that my gas card was on hold cuz I couldn't make the min payment. I am so in debt it;s not even funny with other cards as well. So I was down about that but when I got home it got worse. We got served with a 30 day notice to get out of our apartment. I am so freaking out since last night. We have no money to move since everywhere wants 1st and last and I only have enough for a 1st. I don;t know what to do and I can't stop thinking about it. I want a pill so bad I'm ready to make a call. But I know I have to be strong. It;s just so hard. I guess this is what they call rock bottom.

It sounds like you have a safety net under you if you HAVE to go to your family.  This is a BIG blessing.  The hardest thing I've ever had to do was look my wife in the eye and tell her about my problem and how I'd been hiding it from her.  But I'm glad I did.  It allowed me to maintain an hones relationship with her.

It sounds to me like you have thought this through and have a reasonable and do-able plan.  Follow up on it.  A lot of times just pursuing one solution opens up other doors to other possibilities that you didn't even consider.

Thank you to all for your support and kind words. I will NOT take a pill. I will stay strong and tough this out. If worse comes to worse, I will turn to my family. I just try really hard to hide the problems from them so they have no clue of my situation. But family is family and I know they will not turn me away. I feel better after reading all your kind words. My boyfriend is a pretty good handy man so I think I'll check on jobs for apt. managers or assistants. They usually come with an apartment so thats one way of saving some money to get caught up on the other bills.

I am so sorry...that is alot to handle...But pills won't help, 16 days is great...i agree with trying to talk to your landlord, as far as the credit cards i would not worry about not paying on them, you can when you have the means too....Bad credit is not good, but it is better then losing the days you have ...because that can be fixed...
any family ya'll can stay with to save some money?

i have been through alot also it seems as soon as i got clean everything in my life got worse i broke a toe husband left then nis girlfriend called and now i have bronchitis and there is a shyt load of snow out here but i have to keep thinking that sooner or later things will get better it has been one thing after another this is just a test you are going through when i broke my toe and i was only clean 1-2 days i thought that was the perfect excuse to use but somehow i figured out how to pass my first test then came the second and third .....test after test you can do this do not let nothing stop you be greatful i am greatful i lost my husband due to my addiction i could've lost my kids there is always someone out there worse than us so please do not give up everything happens for a reason maybe you will find a nicer place.....you never know...patience.....

I so wish I could do more to help. I will pray hard for you. Do you have any relatives that can help you for a bit,financially or to move in for a short time. I am so sorry for you,but please,please don't use. It will only make it worse,not better in any kind of way.Hugs for you and know you have friends here.

just stay strong,talk to your apartment manager and see if you can just pay up on that. you dont need any pills, i WISH i was on day 16, i would give my left *** to be on day 16,dont fall back stay strong
