Scratchy

Does Methadone make your voice scratchy? I work in an office and it seems like since I have been on it, when i'm on a call my voice is really scratchy.....

You are dehydrated. Happens very often. Greatly increase your water intake and I a few days your voice should be ok.

Hi i wont lie to you, if you stopped now the withdrawls would be very uncomfortable and be aware if you stopped you probably wouldnt feel very ill at first, methadone stays in and builds up in the body and can hold you for a couple of days, In the past i have stopped methadone and after three days thought I was clear, only for the withdrawls to kick in violently, I was devastated by this.
I cant tell you of a way of experiencing stopping methadone with no side effects its probably not possible or very hard to acheive.
I worked down gradually from 60mg to 4 mg of methadone, but I couldnt handle coming off 4mg and started taking codeine to feel normal.  But some people can just go cold turkey of anything, and coming out the other side stronger, maybe you are one of those people!

find the Thomas recipe on here. I wasn't on methadone but i was on a high dose of hydr for 8 yrs & what helped me detox a little easier was taking a multi vitamin, magnesium, B12, lots of fluids, Imodium & exercise, even if it's just short walks up & down ur driveway or around the house. I have been on methadone for only 1 month. 55mg a day. How bad would the side affects be if I just quit cold turkey? Also, what is a good way to stop without having withdrawl symptoms?

Hi i have been prescribed methadone in the past, I was on it for about 2 years at 60mg and gradualy decreasing dosages.  I have also known many people who have taken methadone.  I have never experienced any side effects like you describe or heard of anyone experiencing them.  If you have any questions about methadone, i will be willing to answer them best I can.
i will add though that drugs affect everyone differently, and i do recall i had some strange effects, affect my hearing while on methadone, and i have never heard of any one else with similar side effects/
