Seeing the Doc today, any suggestions on what to ask for to help with the leg cramps and sleep?

I'm on Day three of a quick taper off Tramadol with the help of my Phsyc.  She gave me Pristq for depression, etc...., chlonodin, and klonopin and Ambien CR for sleep.  I'm getting through the days fairly well, just SUPER groggy which I'm thinking will subside as I continue and only plan on using the chlonodin, klonopin and ambien through like 10-20 days of withdrawal symptoms. (I've been through this before, never with help from an MD, only CT which was EXTREME TORTURE and it usually lasted 10-20 days, getting worse the first 10 days and subsiding the last 10).  So......The issue is sleep, uhhhhgggg I'm going kookoo.  I have an appointment today w the Doc, is there anything that I can ask for instead of or in addition to that will knock me out.  I got Hyalnds Leg Cramp PM a a suggestions from another user and it helped a LOT the first night, but I think I ate like 8 last night to no avail.

Oh one more thing, the last time I saw the Doc, she said if this didn't work that she would get me to sleep with a kinda "oh, don't you worry about that, we have things for that"  So that's why I'm asking you guys what that kinda means and what is the best thing.  I don't want to pull a Michael Jackson, ya know.....

like thater said, calcium magnesium at night can help.  There is an atrticle in the health pages on RLS that I posted after a study was conducted at the hospital i worked at.  Some have rls who r not addicts...it is the sudden wd of dopamine from ur body that can cause it..for an addict, time heals it
ask ur dr today when u go.  There are dopamine drugs that can help temporarily but u r already on an AD, so he may be hesitant.  Phenergan is a safe drug for sleep that u might mention, also may help the rls indirectly as will muscle relaxers.  Plenty of water and protein in your diet can help and some drink tonic water with their cal/mag supp  before bed.  tight wraps like ace wraps or support stockings have also helped folks.  massage or a hot batch before bed also have helped people

the only thing that gave me some relief was hot baths with epsom salts in, it may not have lasted for too long but the bliss just to get a little break from the rls, i think the sleeplessness is part and parcel of withdrawals, it is very annoying , but very common, you could try some valarien root but not as well as the other sleep stuff, i wish you well, god bless.

I wouldn't go any further with the sleep meds.  You are already taking Ambien, a benzo and a BP med which are all sedating.  That's why you're groggy.  You could get yourself into a big mess with ambien and klonopin.  I did!!!  

You should try the supplement Cal-Mag-Zinc for a while especially at night.  I took like 4.  (was told it was fine by pharmacist)  You can buy it really cheap at Wal Mart.  It's worth a try.

Definitely don't recommend anything more for sleep!  Your sleep is going to be messed up for quite a while.  That's normal.  If you try to keep treating it, you will end up with another bad addiction issue.
