Just return a quiet thanks to whatever higher power you care to recognize - maybe doesnt even need a name today. Thats just a label. Many decent religions have various views about all of this. But they also have several things in common. A "golden rule" and the "10 Commandments" exist in some form in almost every religion. So do what you are comfortable with and truly be thankful that you do have a shot at another life.
If you give back to God what he has given to you, you will be rewarded 10 fold. Maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow. In time you will see. Faith in God with take you a long way. Questioning the existence of God is somehting everyone has done. Even the most faithful. We lean of God in the tough times. When everything is ok, we question. Why is that?
You'd better hold up your end of the bargain cuz if you don't the man upstairs may not be so gracious next time around. Of course there is a God! I wouldn't be here today without him. :)

That is a topic up for debate. Many people can feel differnetly and get offended, or defensive for one reason or another. I am catholic. I do believe in God. But I also believe in Satan. Now that God has done this to help you, (lets assume)/ The devil is going to try to break you down. i.e. temptation, justifying your wrongs, etc. He's always there to tell you, "IT'S OK"..."your only human", ETC...while this is true, you also have a brain..and you also have a heart...use them and you'll see how far you can get.... I truly believe that drugs are the most powerful tool the devil uses to tempt us to sin. Look at what it causes, "lies, stealing, avoiding reality, justifying our wrong doings, becoming lazy, always putting our needs first, not caring about hurting others, exaggerating the level of pain we are in so that we can justify taking the meds, etc etc. the list go's on.
