Someone please help me!

I have a problem. If I wasn't in withdrawal & took my Suboxone, would I still get precipitated withdrawals?  I TRIED stopping my oxycodone last night at 10:45 & went to the doc as I was supposed to this AM but he said I wasn't in enough withdrawal!! It had been EXACTY 12 hrs since my last dose. The type I am on I don't believe is time-released, don't remember. I went home & waited...slept...waited...at hour 16 I was in misery but still not "in enough withdrawal" to make this doc happy for me to start my suboxone!  I called him, he called back 10 mins later on hr 16 if my "withdrawal/since my last dose" time & he said I just wans't in enough withdrawal. I don't understand!! Actually I waited until 5pm today since my last dose which would make it actually 18 hrs.  Is something wrong with me or does Oxycodone withdrawal just different? Please help!!

I know the w/drawls are miserable and you are suffering (i too have done c/t and its no fun!) However just remember it will be over in a few days - mabye its a blessing in discuise - because the withdrawls from sub are no fun and due to its long half life can go on for ages......... and you'll have to get off it sometime, and once again your a slave to taking pills all the time....

I know its different - but once (ages) ago an (idiot!) doctor put me on naltrexone for opiate abuse..... BUT he didn't wait until I had NO opiates left in my system...... For about 8 hours I felt like I was going to die - heart pailptation, diziness, brain zaps, feeling dazed and confused, I could barley tell anyone my own name. I felt really really out of it. I was in a detox at the time and spent the day in bed with staff coming in every 15 mins to check on me.  He apologised later saying he should have waited at least 72 more hours - so if he had given you the sub you may have had bad symptoms too......

Good Luck
Perch :-)
