1600mgs per habit to subutex safe?

I've been snorting 5 80mgs of oxy four times a day for approx 4 years now. But I ran out today only having 5 this morning and 5 around noon time. I am currently in withdrawal (its 9pm) and have taken small pieces of a subutex pill 8mgs for the past 3 hours. So far I've taken a little more than half of the thing. Am I safe from pw's. I want to just snort the other 4 subutex I have to make these symptoms go away. I heard the ceiling on the Tex is 32mgs. Any input please?

Thank u guys, it's now Sunday afternoon and aside from violently puking every time I take a sub I'm feeling much better. Actually able to hold down small sips of water. Still bed ridden though.

I agree that if you want to use Subs as part of your recovery plan (they aren't a miracle cure as you probably know), then you need to do this RIGHT, adhere to the dosing schedule your doc gives you and take them properly.  Snorting them is short changing yourself on the effectiveness.  If you take them sublingually, as directed, they will be absorbed properly, like they are designed to do.  

Put your mind to this, cut your Oxy sources and start working with the sub doctor to do this the right way.  It can be done, but you have to start making the necessary changes to make it happen.  Just taking the subs isn't recovery, it's just another med substitution, and if you're abusing the sub, then it's just more addictive behavior.

Take the subutex under your tongue like they are designed for I have been taking subutex for 2 years now started on 16mg and reduced to 1.4mg at the moment it is acheivable however my poison was Heroin not Oxy None the less same withdrawel etc etc Its not gonna be easy as once the RLS and WD has gone its all in the head and thats the hardest so im not gonna suger coat anything for you. You have to want this bad and the point you made about no blocker in subbi is only half right as the buprenorphine still blocks. stick with the subbies and use them correctly and you will be stable in about 72 hours then look at the long road ahead, dont listen to anyone who tells you to do it fast as you will most likely fail..

Oh...I didn't yet that you snort the Subutex, too...well, that's not good.

First, see if you can get Dr.Rick on the phone. Usually someone's on call, right?   Do you feel unable to drive?

I really wish you would go to a prescribing physician and do this correctly. For one thing, you need Suboxone not Subutex so that you are unable to snort them. the act of snorting is an addiction all by itself.

One of the things of getting clean is to stop self medicating so that needs to be your first step. Let someone else prescribe the medication correctly and be accountable.

Please don't fool around with this. If you go into severe precipitated withdrawal the urge to use Oxy again will be great and I fear you will fail.

Okay. I think you're beginning to get precipitated withdrawals so don't take anymore right now. So, yes, you have to suffer. Trust me, I know it's awful but you need to be in significant wd's for the Sub to work. Now, I've never taken Sub so you can get some more opinions but I'm certain you're getting into trouble right now.

I don't usually suggest Sub to people but you have a huge dose of Oxy to detox from and this may be the best thing for YOU...

For now, stay close here and talk to us. Everyone here is in the process of getting clean or is already so there's a lot of support. It's good that you're wanting to clean up and well help as much as we can. You'll have to do the work, though, and this is where it begins...waiting to introduce the Sub...

I wish I could say there's a way to get through early withdrawal without suffering, and although you can make it easier on yourself physically, bottom line there's going to be some discomfort.  But it's possible to manage those symptoms and get through it

And what is your plan w/the subs?  Did the Dr. give you a timeline on how long you should be on them?

I'm giving my first honest attempt at getting off oxy. But I'm now reconsidering that going from 20 80s a day to this might not be in my best interest. So yes, I am looking to do whatever I need to survive this night. Including snorting the other, uhm... 24mgs you can take in order to make this  happen.

What is your goal with the Subutex? If you are going to continue to snort then my guess is you are not looking to get clean??? Let us know what is going on.

Thank u kindly, I went to suboxone clinic and don't think dr believed that I've been spending a 1000 a day on oxys for the past 4 years. Anyways he tells me he's giving me subutex instead because it doesn't have a blocker in it. Well I've been reading this site so I know better. But I'm just trying to do the right thing. He said for me to take 4 8mgs a day for a week. And I could take them all at once if I wanted to. I've now taken 3/4 of one and have the chills, restless legs, and damn that taste - nausea.

I don't recommend taking the Sub just yet due to those PW's. You aren't having them now because you haven't taken enough yet but if you continue to take it, you'll be SICK

You need to be in significant WD's to have Sub work properly and you really should do this through a physician...or are you just trying to get by until you can get more Oxy?
