Stopped cocaine now what happens to my nose?

I stopped snorting cocaine about 6 months ago.  I can finally breath out of my nose. (I could mostly breath out of my mouth only during the five years I was addicted) I definately have a hole in my nose and I know I will probably have to have surgery.  My question is it still possible for my nose to cave in?  I have not been to a doctor yet and it seems like my nose is healing (not the hole I know), but I'm still having scabs or hard mucus which I take out daily.  When will this stop or will it ever?

i quit snorting and started smoking years ago because of the problems associated with it. I dont think your nose will heal, or at least from what i gather here. a friend had this problem, and his did the whole scab n peel thing for almost a year, followed by a remaining hole in his nose that will never heal. I would see a doctor soon as possible, they may be able to give ya something to help it heal more. again unsure but dam sure worth the shot. his nose causes problems with his sleep, and his continued snorting of coke gave him 3 heart attacks by the time he was 32. He has been clean the last 6 years, since last heart attack. best of luck to ya on the nose, and please dont start using again, cocaine destroys good people :)
