HI YOU could try it you dryed yourself out for a week from it switching to percs so I really dont know how this will play out 8mg is a lot of sub you wont feel the withdrawals for a few days most people taper off to 2mg or less...we have had members take it sown to crumbs and go threw withdrawals and other jump off at 2mg and feel next to nothing it a funny drug
give it a shot....be ready to accept some withdrawals pick up the highlands restful legs stuff
and also rap you legs tightly like your swaddling a baby it will help with the leg thing
get comfortable with the saying ...'''you just got to be ok without being ok for a wile'' and live by it withdrawals should only last a few days you havent been back on the sub long enough for it to get a hold of you yet...will be here to support you we all want to see you succeed good luck and God bless.......Gnarly

You need to talk to your Dr about tapering...  Suboxone is not something you need to play around with.. Jumping off of 16 mg was not the best decision.  I am 81 days off Subs after 8 months of taking them Started on 16mg a day and cut down 2mg every month. I jumped off on 2mg. I didn't have any Wd's except on day 5 I had anxiety. From what I have heard and read I am one of the very lucky ones that got off easy. You have been on them longer than I was. I would say it is gonna take some time to get off them. I wish you the best of luck

Sounds to me that a slow taper would be your best bet. Talk to the doctor and come up with a reasonable taper plan. There's a very good suboxone forum, I'll inbox you the name as I don't think I'm supposed to post it here. The people there are very knowledgeable with tapering sub and will help you.

Smart move getting back on track, and sub is a funny drug so it's hard to say how much if any wd you will have. Some people can go off and have very little discomfort and others struggle more. The key is to get with your doctor and work out a plan. Aftercare is important Michelle, getting off is one thing but staying off is another and I find it's people who work a recovery program that stay clean.

If you bought a new car you'd maintain it right? Sobriety is your new car and you want to do everything to protect that car and keep it running well. That's where aftercare comes in, maintaining your sobriety. NA can teach you how to not only live clean but lose the desire to do drugs!! Can you imagine just not wanting or caring about the pills anymore? Well it's possible, I have been to two meetings this week (the first I wasn't too crazy about but the second one was great!) you'll meet people who know what it's like to be addicted and who have gotten clean. They'll teach you how to do it.

All the best to you Michelle and never give up, if you truly want to be free you'll get there with lots of hard work. It can be done, hey why not call the doc now and make the appt to discuss your taper? And I'll email u that forum I was talking about.

ok finally came to my senses and took a suboxone last night, and again this morning, the doc has me on suboxone film 8 mg a day, i want to get off of these as quick as i can with little to no withdrawals at all. maybe i shouldnt have caved in and taken them, but the rls was so bad i couldnt sleep at all, i have been on them for about 2 years and last week decided to go cold turkey from 16 mgs a day, was taking narcotis to help w/ withdrawals but ran out of money and couldnt get anymore. so can someone tell me how i should wean myself down and how long does it usually take, and with me weaning down will i still get withdrawals when i stop taking them altogether.

HI Michelle im glad your back on the sub do yourself a favor and work a program wile on it
N/A is free and the 12 step program works if you work it you need to put as much effort into your recovry as you did into your active addiction to many people get on sub or methadone and just take the drug it was designed to be part of a total recovery progam once you build up your foundation you will be able to stand on your own 2 feet then get off the sub and not relapse your going to have to stop going off it to get high...the desire to get clean must exceed the desire to get high for this to work sooner or later everybody gets fed up with the lifestyle from your posts I think your there no it up to you to utilize the program to its potential keep posting for support we all want to see you succeed good luck and God bless......Gnarly
