Walking is a great help to the body. Exercise will cause the body to produce endorphins, which provide energy and lift the mood.
I'm feeling so much better now. I ate a bowl of oatmeal and a bannana, and walked some. The nervousness is gone. Now I'm just really tired. But I can handle that. Thanks so much. Couldn't of done it without you guys.
Keep on going. It does get better! I would look back over the first few days as a gauge to how I am doing now. It was easier to see the progress that way. Bananas are your friends. :)
I think I'll try Star Wars from Part 1 to Part 6. Today is a little better, but plagued with nervousness. I slept some last night which was great. I also have hot and cold sweats, but my skin is feeling better. I have a little bit of an appetite. So I can see its going to get better, but the thought of enduring a few more days seems impossible. The good thing for me is I hate the feeling of being on pain pills. Once my pain went away I couldn't wait to stop taking them, and I was shocked my body went into withdrawals.
you wanna pass some time? rent the GodFather trilogy.
as far as getting better, the 72 hours mar seems to be very common for a turning point and then it is better day by day. If you are like most you more than likely took a ton of pills before it was quiting time, like going on a diet tomorrow. What do we all do if we know a diet is coming tomorrow? We enjoy all and everything. I know I did this with the Vicodin and I think this makes it even worse on us. Good luck
If u try ur best to stay busy..time will pass much faster...go for a walk..keep moving when ur up or keep ocupied...read...exercise...movies on the tube...dont let it overwhelm u...it is 99% upstairs...hold on tight...just a few days more
there right it all get better day by day your doing the thing and it`s a good road that your on
later rick
It gets better honest, your addiction didn't happen over night and so quitting takes some time. Get through day 5 and you'll be over the hump. After that things improve, slowly but they do improve.
Being clean and sober and in a program so you can stay that way is as GOOD as being in withdrawal is bad. Actually, being clean and sober is much, much better. You are going to have absolute freedom like you won't believe. This is a situation where the hardest work also reaps the highest rewards. I will be praying for you...Please hang in there.....
Im on day 4.. and I do know how hard it is!! Ive been on day 4 a few times, I cant seem to get past it. But im right there with you!! And im looking forward to day 5 because people here have said that once you get past day 4 things start to get so much easier! Keep your head up, and if you do slip up its okay you can try again!! And we're all here to support you so keep posting and let us know how it goes! Good luck.
Thanks so much for the encouragement. Time just wont go fast enough. If I keep hearing it will get better than I start to believe it, so thanks you for your words.
it DOES get better..hang in there..it's going to take just a little but for your body to get used to it's new found freedom...congrats!!
You are 1/2 way through the worst of the physical part. You will feel very tired, and lethargic the next couple days. Just listen to your body and don't overdo anything. Try to get some exercise, I know it's hard but it will make your body produce natural pain killers and make you feel a little better-even if it is for a short time. Keep taking the vitamins, bananas, drink as much liquid as you can, and keep posting. You're doing a great job and you're going to be done here soon!!
