Tramadol addict needs help!!!

Hi All

I started taking Tramadol about 18 months ago. I have been taking 400mg a day. I still need painkillers but I have noticed that I am very heavily addicted to tram. I can’t even miss one pill with out feeling side affects.

I can’t talk to my doctor as we don’t see eye to eye about any thing. I really don’t want to be in the situation of him stopping them and making me go cold turkey.

I have tried to cut down but I get really depressed and I get a “jerky” sensation in my face when I move. I don’t know if this is normal, But this seems like the place to get help.

I forgot to say. I take capsules, so i can cut them. Grrrrr.

you can always try another doctor, or an addiction specialist too, to help you get off...

taper slowly...can u get ur doctor to help?  maybe cut 1/2 pill at a time...read up on the tapering article and the thomas recipe in the health pages...do u have someone to hold ur pills?  u can do this..i have seen people who take 40 trams a day kick it..u can do it

I hate the trammys I got the depression and jerking as well. Good luck quiting.

CT is very dangerous coming off of tram there is the risk of sezuires .Tapering is the way to do it .Try a slow taper 1 pill every 4 to 7 days and yes the jerking is normal.
