I tapered...quick...very difficult for an addict to taper...that is when i was positive I was an addict...when i tapered...personally would have rather just have been done with it but coud not get off work for a week or so....And tried tapering on my own for months without succes...had to hand over my meds to a friend...and I do not know if i ever came clean but i cheated on my taper/not funny! I took 4 lortab 10s the day before I quit so it was kinda CT...I am glad I finally admitted that...you also know you are an addict when you lie about how many you take LOL...again....not funny! but the taper did reduce my dosage for the end
I tapered and IBKleen is right...the wds last longer( becuz you have them the whole time you taper), but they are much milder (anyway, mine were).
if you can't get off of work..taper might be best..but only you can decide....
or you can jsut ct and be done in 5-7 days......'it really isn't fun either way...but you will survive.
So get all your gear packed and go for the ride...you'll be happy when you arrive in your new life!!!!
Good luck...keep posting!!!!
Any way of getting clean is a good one!
I tried to taper before I finally went CT the WD symptoms start setting in before you go CT so it just seems to prolong it. The Thomas Recipe didn't help me at all I did use xanax for first month when I could stand things and ambien to sleep for almost 6 months. I'm clean 11 months now
Yes hun, you can taper with 90 pills. But it is hard at best. Most people cannot stick to it and I always suggest that someone hold and dispense your meds. the recipe will help you somewhat. With tapering, you will start to feel withdrawal symptoms with every drop in dose. Sometimes it makes it easier, sometimes it does not.
Get a plan and stick to it. GL
