Thanks for your support

This will probably get moved, but I would like a thread where we could say "Thank You" to the people who have been instrumental in our recovery or for someone who has supported you efforts to get clean.

I want to thank my husband and daughters.  They have been such a rock for me during the past 5 months.  My father died on January 1st and it was a very difficult time for me and they never left my side.  I also want to apologize for all the embarassment I caused them during my using.  I answered my daughter's phone one day and it was actually a text message.  I know I should not have read it, but I am glad that I did.  It was from her boyfriend and he was comforting her after a time that I had embarassed her.  It broke my heart, and I will never forget that moment as long as I live.

Sorry if this doesn't relate to anyone, but it was just on my mind.
Sue

It does relate to drugs. It just shows us that they impair our judgment. We don't realize what we have done until later. At least you see this. Time and your trying to make things right will heal the wounds.

At least you are able to reflect and look back and say sorry.  Your daughter will understand.  So pleased you are clean - well done, you must be so proud! xx
