The run-around in Orange County

I am on 3 detox lists for alcohol and call everyday and just want to stop drinking, I've been told it might be 3 weeks until I get in, i can't take this anymore, every time I call for help I just get more phone numbers and conversations that go nowhere, i need help NOW

go to a church....they have helped many with this problem.....often times they will even fund the treatment under a contract that you WILL complete it.  If i'm not mistaken if there is a breach of contract than all payment for treatment falls on you.  Kind of like FAFSA i suppose...all the best

If you don't go to the ER.....then you will have to wait, thats the way it is in rehab. They are so overloaded these days.  keep calling.

Yes, if you go to an ER they, by law, cannot deny you.

It is a rat race and it *****, I feel for you. It cracks me up how its not ok for you to do drugs or drink on a daily basis, yet when you ask for help..you can't get it. Not unless you are loaded. That is why our economy is the way it is. And why working class people are perceived how they are. I wish I were lindsey lohan or had her $, then I could mess up as much as I want and get the necessary help I need whenever...

Sorry if I sounded bitter up there..It just breaks my heart to see this person wants and needs help but he is denied because he can't afford proper help. I couldn't either and had to suffer because of it.

My mom said to try the Salvation army, I know it seems like alot to take in right now but they do help with that, My dad had no insurance and my mom did this with him for 40 years. I know Orange Co is huge. I used to live in Cali grew up there. Please message me if you need anything at all .

My daddy was an alcaholic, He went to detox many times. You can go to the er and they will find a bed for you . There are also half way homes that do detox for that if you would like my help let me know. I helped him get into detox more than a few times =) good luck

I am sorry you are getting the run around. I don't know anything about alcohol abuse. Someone may come along who does soon..it's still early. Also, we have an alcohol forum if you go to the top of the page and click on forums you will find it there.
