I joined you 6 days ago

Took a week off work and decided to quit the norco.I was taking between 8 to 10 a day.Buying them on the street market from guys at my job that have "connections"Yeah it SUCKED like we all know it does but now the major symptoms are gone but i am left with extreme lethargy.I got three more days before i go back to work.My question is will this fatigue **** be gone by then?I have withdrawn about 7 times now and i do not recall having this lack of energy before.By the way i am taking effexor for gad,"generalized anxiety disorder"and xanax for panic attacks.Could the lethargy be caused by the benzos?I started to try to take less than 4mg a day and feel shaky and anxious if i do not take the xanax. If i take a xanax my energy level goes up and i feel more normal.Am i hooked on benzos now?jesus christ i hope not because i have read lots of horror stories about that.

You're on a pretty high dosage of xanax, it could be the cause of your lethargic mood, talk to your dr about a tapering plan and stick to it.

here's a site where you can inform yourself on any benzo: http://www.benzo.org.uk/
and here's an example of tapering plan since benzos CANNOT be stopped CT:

Best of luck to you. sophie.

you dont need to start a new thread, just reply in this on.

If youve been taking xanax for 5 months your body has absolutely become dependant...
You cant suddenly stop taking them (very dangerous), you'll need to slowly tapper off them.
