how much tramadol is usually taken?

I take 2 to 4  50 mg tablets of tramadol Per day.  I am addicted to it.  Is this much a lot or what?

i have been on tramadol for almost 4yrs now and have been told to never exeed 400mg per day. please keep in mind it also acts as an antidepessant releasing seretonin into the brain giving u a bit of a feel good. im going through hell at present trying to withdraw from it but am so determined as the bad definately outways the good in the longterm. unless u plan on using it for the rest of your life or untill your liver decides its had enough i recomend trying some other kinnd of pain relief. id see your g.p as i am not a professional. goodluck

A little more info would help us to give you the best advice. What are they prescrbed for? How long have you been taking them? Are you taking as prescribed by your doctor? Also only you can answer if you are addicted.
