Thought I was making Progress

I thought I was making progress when I finally got my girlfriend to stop taking OC's.  She is taking her Suboxone in the mornin like she is supposed to but every time her friend (we will call him Joe) Joe gets around her he convinces her to snort one again.  He is in the same boat and wants to clean up as well. He says.  But what am I to do about this because they work together and so does Joes boyfriend Jon. How do I nip this in the rear????

When she is serious about quitting she will remove these negative people from her life. I know i had a similar situation with my ex girlfriend, at the time i brought it to a physical level w/ the guy she was getting them from and her "friend" (who was a guy) that she was doing them with (like your girl, a co-worker) after that his nose didnt work so well when it was broken, so i guess that forced him to stop sniffing them also..lol..THOUGH I DO REGRET THAT, you shouldnt hurt anyone really..but thats your call lol..

in short, she needs to be serious about quitting and want to quit and then remove herself from the people that influence her. Show her your love which im sure your doing and show her how much you care. Good luck my man..

You can't ...has to be her choice to stop....or it won't work...you could give her an ultimatum, but you need to be prepared to follow thru. No matter how much an addict loves someone...they love their drugs more..............sorry..i know that isn't what you wanted to hear...good luck..keep posting...

I think (and this is just me) that with those things you got to stand your ground, grab your BA**ls in on hand and her with the other, look her in the eye and tell her that it is not OK by you. And that she has to make up her mind about what she wants. But dont tell her not to sell you on something and deliver you a loud of ****. Sometimes we have to be firm this way with the people we care about, or else we become their enabler.

P.S not being a male shovanist, this is some thing that is true for both sides of the relationship.

she has to want to quit, someone convincing her to take pills  isnt a good enough excuse. i would literally **** his/her day up if she was doing that to my girlfriend (if i was a boy haha) you need to let her know how serious it is to u that she quits. next question, are you using too?
