Did your vision ever get better? I have had it for a month and a half, but also been weaning off of vicodin for a month and a half too. Now I am in detox.

Thanks everyone for being so helpful! I did NOT take anything but, I have no doubt in my mind the person that asked me that question was trying to get me to use. I'm now on day 16! It seems to be going well. A major problem for me is the fact i work in a bar where that stuff gets passed around like candy. I've been staying strong and also lost weight!!! Thank you again for the support!!! This is a great online community!! So glad I found people that don't judge and truly want to help!!!

That will make you groggy in the am probably but it may help you sleep. A friend of mine took it regular for awhile and she wrecked her truck one morning and her kids were taking advantage of her, lieing and stealing from her cuz they knew she was out of it. She quit and now I can understand her on the phone before noon and she quit the Seriqiull too and lost 30 lbs or so.

Watch out for the Tram. that's some bad stuff and the doctors don't seem to think it is addictive. My understanding it can cause some real weird stuff in some people. It has some anti depressant with the pain killer. Terrible W/D from that too. Talked to a guy yesterday that took it, and went nuts, even was shooting at cops. Oh my. He had a severe reaction to it I guess. Luckily he only took it the one time and his family helped him figure out it was making him crazy. It might be OK in real short periods if no initial reaction.

A runny nose is one of the withdrawal symptoms.  I'm on the liquid Lortab (a.k.a, hydrocodone) and weaning myself off it.  Yesterday I had an appointment with a pain management specialist who gave me Ambien to help me get to sleep.  He also gave me Clonidine and Tramadol to help with the other withdrawal symptoms and cravings.  I just started taking these last night.  I think the Clonidine made me very drowsy though, so I didn't need any Ambien.  In fact, I usually sit up late at night, but last night I easily fell asleep by 10:30, which is super early for me!  Your doctor may be able to help you through the withdrawal process with medicines like these.  It wouldn't hurt to ask.  Good luck!  The blurry vision sounds scary!  If it's any consolation, my pain management doctor said you can go cold turkey off Lortab and opiates like that and suffer no physiological damage, BUT it's not a pleasant experience.  So, don't worry, you may be miserable, but coming off the Lortab won't HURT you.  In other words, the blurry vision isn't permanent and it's not a sign of any kind of damage, although it also wouldn't hurt to mention it to a doctor.  I would suggest you consult a pain management specialist though since these opiates are exactly what they deal with every day.

I became so blind while in W/D that I couldnt see to use the phone or do much of anything. I used it as an excuse to continue many times. I,m not sure how common it is but I have always  had thatexperience. Pretty scary Huh.

What about sneezing and sniffling? Could that be from withdrawals?

Be careful as you detox we never know how our bodies will respond...I too had blurred vision not that bad but had it a bit during detox.  The headaches are what killed me I thought I would die with the pounding and pain.  Hang in there you are practically out of the woods already.

I had the same problem during detox. It scared the crap outta me thought I was going blind. I've heard it's pretty normal and has something to do with your pupils dialating. Only lasted a few days with me. Good idea to check that blood pressure though.

Thanks for your response! Its very helpful cause that's exactly what's happening!!!! I'm also keeping a detox journal as well as starting extremely hardcore workouts, twice a day. I normally have very low blood pressure, so I will head to cvs and test tomorrow.  Thanks again: -)
