Tomorrow is the start

Well the 3 weeks of tappering is done. Today being the last day .5 Lortab once a day. Feeling a bit stressed.
In my head? I am hoping not many more w/d symptoms. I am still having a few, sleeping, legs just a little crampy.
Heart ponding sometimes. Really stange feeling in my toes at night.

I do have Xanax but have not taken any. They make feel even worse. Never did like them.
Just bit nervous I guess.

Hey you can do this,  we are all here to tell you that while it is tough, you will make it through. I tapered with 1/2 lortab the last few days before I quit.  It did help me I'm sure of that!  I did have the Clodidine and a few tranzene to help along with the imodium and otc pain meds, and benadryl.  Come on here and read the posts and ask questions if you need support :)

I don't think it will be to bad, but every w\d is different... mind over matter, tell yourself happy thoughts, try to keep everything as positive as you can and keep your mind off of the hell you're going through,, grow and learn from what your body and mind go through,,, Lisa

Corey is right, you can do this,, it is hard but it can be done,, I took a benzo every night for the first 4 days to knock myself out,, if I didn't I couldn't sleep and I needed sleep at the end of the day,, I am now 16 days clean,, you can use the benzo if you don't replace your habit,, and use it as little as possible and don't use it for very long because they are highly addictive... keep posting if you need support through this hard time...  Lisa

Also deep breathing and hot bubble baths. Light a candle and kick your feet up....listen to relaxing music or watch non-violent/non stressful TV shoe...if you can find one or read a book. Think only positive thoughts. Try not to be scarred. Be good to yourself. Just a little advise. You can do this. Corey

I used them. I don't think I could have made it wo them. They are addictive but I took them for anxiety in the past and never wanted more than prescribed.  Everyone reacts to pills differently and some will just switch to another drug. I used Klonopin which is a benzo (same family as Xanax) but I swiched to Celexa, which is an anitdepressant and is not addicting. I guess I would ask...did you ever take a benzo and if so did you like it? If so definatly don't take them. Ask your doctor for an anti depressant for anxiety...only problem is they take 7-10 days to work....if you get Celexa or Lexepro. My insurance would not cover Lexipro bc it cost too much. If you can handle the benzos only take for 4-5 days like the Thomas recipe says. Let me know if I can help you. Corey

Congratulations on your successful taper. My son also could not take any benzos during detox. I guess if you don't have anxiety there is no reason to take them. I hope your next few days will go quickly and you will continue to do well. Let us know if we can help. Post when you need us. God bless. Corey
