I've only visited this website a couple of times. My original question was to convince my son to get help for his pill addiction. I saw a website in Houston called Detox Houston (which is where he lives) & I convinced him to go. The website looks great & sounds great but it is not. It's a joke. There is no follow-up help at all. He's had some terrible relapses & now I'm trying to find something else. He wants something that he can do as an outpatient. How do you go about finding a decent doctor/therapist to help you?

HI sorry to here about your experence its tuff finding a treatment senter and he has to want to change that means all persons places and freinds no exceptions or you will use again

You might try to go to the ASAM.org website and find the list of doctors.  These area doctors who have passed a certification test in addiction medicine and are generally pretty good.  Hope this helps.

If he is relapsing quite often I would look at inpatient first. Outpatient takes willpower.
