It does get better as each day passes. I know I'm sleeping now. I do not look forward to times when i can't stay busy doing something. That is the worst for me. Idle time *****.
Day 8 congrats. You are almost ready to turn the corner and feel good again.
For me it was day 10-12 when i noticed a big difference.
Hang on it will not be long now, to feel the sun on your face again.
You will look back and be so proud of yourself.
I know i am.  I'm 28 days clean today and life is GREAT.
I'm not all the way there yet, but i can tell you life does get better.
God speed.

Everyone is different.  I'm on day 6 and feeling so much better.  Not fully there, but definitely better than yesterday and the day before.  I've taken all the great advice....some reluctantly(like getting dressed and moving), but I did it and felt better.  I'm even at work today(not actually working as you can tell...lol), but I made it here.  Just hold on, it will get better!

On day three and reading how miserable you all are all on day seven.  Omg!  I don't think I can.  And having to keep it a secrecy all the while.   My house is already in shambles.  Everything is falling apart with me.  The road seems so oooooooo long and dark

I was just like Pat.  Right now you have what they call elephantitus....everything seems enormous to take on.   I remember that feeling all too well.    So do your day up in little bits and pieces and give yourself a break in between to take on that elephant.  And when you say Im not or can't do this, dismiss that first thought and listen to the 2nd one.   Use that same technique when a craving hits.   Did you write down all your reasons not to go back?   Add this mental part to it as well!    You should turn a corner in another day or two....I promise!

I forced myself to do things.  Even taking a shower.  Then I would get dressed and half way thru getting dressed, think, no I'm not going to do it lol.  Finally, I would finish and force myself to go for a short walk.
I would rest inbetween everything by the way.
I just felt so much better after doing it and it really does get your energy back faster.  I am taking lots of vitamins and drinking carnation instant breakfasts.  They are full of good stuff.
Eat, drink and exercise.  It helps.

Today is day 7 for me as well, I'm feeling the same way, I practically live in the bath right now and my restlessness has kept me from sleeping more then half an hour or so a day. But just keep telling yourself you can do it, day 7, next week we will be feeling better and looking back thanking god we didn't give in, because giving in is only a temporary solution. You've got this far, just keep pushing.

I have to agree with Pat, I'm shocked at my lack of energy.  Started Day 6 and I have zero energy.  I did take the great advice though and showered, got dressed and even drove myself to the store for a few things.  It sucked, but I did it!  Not sure how I'm going to manage to go to work tomorrow.  Hang in there, it will get better for both of us!

The lack of energy after detox shocked me and you certainly have a lot on your plate.  You need to eat as healthy as you can.  Even pick up some boosts or ensures to start your day.  It will come back but it feels like it takes forever.  You are doing what you can so I am sure yours will come back soon.

The physical part of this should be leaving you soon. The exact day is different from person to person, but no matter how uncomfortable you feel now, remember that you never want to go back to day one. Remember why you are doing this and have faith that everyone who has gone before you has suffered somewhat. But, so far we've made it. I have 68 days. The fog has lifted. It has gotten better. I am taking my life back a day at a time. You can do this.

Just sent you a message... the fog you are in is awful. But it lifts soon. Get yourself the ltyrosine its very helpful. And as everyone above said... move around as much as you can to stir up those natural endorphins!

Try taking a hot shower or bath. When I was really anxious or on edge, I would go outside and breath some fresh air. If you don't feel like walking, then just sit outside for 15 minutes or so, breathing slow and deep! It will help relax you and take that edge off! Hang in there! It will get much better!
