Detoxin asap

I've been on Methadone a year March 20th 2010. The highest dose was 100 mgs. I then detoxed to 80 then to 60... The past month i've went from 60 mgs to now being on 38mg. My question is... What is the best way for me to detox the rest of the way off of the Methadone, the right way but as fast as possable?

Follow what the doctor says. In the end you will have to go through wds. There is no easy way around it. Tapering is good but in the end cold turkey is it. Be safe. GOD bless.

HI Jenn...I detoxed off 150ml and it took me 8 1/2 mo to do it your making great progress but as the dose gets lower you have to go a bit slower with your taper or you will start to face some pritty harsh withdrawals..I have a good taper given to me by a neo/natal nurse that brings babys off heroin methadone oxy ext....I figured if it was safe for a baby it would be safe for me...we no longer post tapers in the open forum but I will send it to you via the messenger so check your E/mail in a few minutes...it will bring you off as quickly and painlessly as possible...there is no completely comfortable way of doing this but the formula she gave me worked really well for the most part..this is a race one by the tortus not the hare so your going to have to give it some time to do it correctly.if done right the withdrawals can be managed ...I have helped several people get off this stuff...I will help you also if you like it just takes a plan and some perseverance but we can get you off the stuff with a little time..keep posting here for support and reading the posts it helps to know your not in this alone we will all be here to support you as you go down this road to recovery good luck and God bless....Gnarly.....check your e/mail
