Urges really bad right now

Today is day 4 for me and yesterday was a wonderful day. However, this morning I am in no pain and feeling the urge to go swollow a pill to get my day going. I hate that feeling. I am trying to resist with every fiber of my being but it is getting more difficult by the minute. Today is the last scheduled day of my Ultram and I can take it but I took my Xanax (for a sleep disorder) last night 12 hours after my last Ultram. It made me so tired I couldn't get to bed and I feel and really messed up my knee and wrist. I want to wait at least 12 hours before taking the last Ultram. How do I get through the next 2 hours???

Ok made it. Thank you all so much. I couldnt leave the house since I have two small children. My husband was up all night worried about me and our daughter (she was ill) so I didnt want to get him up. I tried the bath that didnt help. But I did cuddle up with my youngest and watch two hours of Dora. Is that sad? It got me through and I can take the last dose of the Ultram now. Tomorrow I am suppose to take half a dose of Ultram and again on Thursday with nothing on Friday. But I love to Black friday shop so my mind should be suitably distracted.

As for me knee and wrist, last night after taking my Xanax it made me so tired. Like never before. I tried to get up and walk to my bed but fell hard. I am allergic to anti inflammatories so Ibprophen will not work. I will just have to bear with it.

I think that is the problem with chronic pain conditions. You really need the meds but the meds are so bad for you that you cant have them. Kind of a catch twenty two.

Day 4 of my Taper yesterday was bad too, seems to be normal whether CT or Tapering to have bad one around now from what I am reading..Hang in there, its tough, I know as I am doing the same here..I tried reading, crafts, ect but took too much focus and steadiness to do it so I went too walking! And it does truly work like everyone on here says lol.. I didnt believe it but It does.. Doesnt take much thinking to get one foot infront of the other, and it did help the Restless legs and aches and pains abit.. then I found myself deep in thought thinking bout life with abit of a clearer head then the time flew and the walk was over, it caused me too make it a few hours past when I was able to take pills and went an extra 3 hrs then I had too for the very first time..instead of wanting them an hour or two before I could like you...just a thought, might help!!  I am rooting for you, its tough I know...HANG IN, IT DOES GET EASIER THEY ALL SAY, lol so all we can do is count on that being true!!

hey hun sorry to hear your struggling its not just u we all have days like this !!!
what have u done to your knee and wrist?
if you are in pain for any reason some normal paracetamol or ibuprofen can help or a hot bath .
do u have any vitamin pills in the house?? have one of those instead an trick yourself into it making u feel better.
can u get out of the house for a while away from the pills or pill?
could u take half now half later or less?
try and take your mind of it by reading or painting or cleaning whatever u can do and drink loads of water !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hope this helps somewhat!!
