"Very excited, need advice"

For anyone who can help me with this or just give me some opinons, i am open minded, so please tell me exactly what u think i should do...OK---I just had a visitor...I would not say she is a friend of mine, but more of someone i purcharsed pills from...When i stopped doing pills, she called and told me her and her husband had some if i needed..Well i told her that i was not interested anymore and was getting clean...Well a few days later she called again, i then didnt' answer and blocked the number...I later found out that her husband had been arrested...I freaked because it could of been me buying from him at the time...anyway he is still in jail....I have not heard of seen from her since then...Well she drove up here, and knocked on my door and at first i didnt' want to let her in, but my gut told me i had too...So she came  in and told me she had went to church the last sunday and she saw me and she saw how good i looked...now at this point she is crying..she looked terrible..SO she told me that she wanted to get clean and needed help...all of her family gave up on her, and she has no one..She asked me how i did it, etc...Now then i asked her what she was on and how much...TO my surprise, since i only bought lortabs from them, she said oxy's....And she is taking 2 to 3 80 a day....She said she started trying to just take lortabs and kind of goes back and forth...She tried to taper and could not......She tried calling some detox state run programs and they are full and waiting list is long....I asked her if she has ever heard of sub, she said yes, but she knew someone who is in a methadone clinic and she thought it was the same thing....and scared of that...
Okay my question is, she has money to go to a sub doctor, what do you that are on sub or have did sub think about this??  oh and she has been using for at least 7 yrs everyday...
I asked her to be totally honest with me with everything she is taking....She said she is taking zoloft, and valium...besides the opiates....
I really want to help this girl, but what route to you think she should go????
She has a job, and has 2 children, that are 13, 15....
I do not want to associate to much with her because just seeing her set off a craving, ERRRRRRRR!!!!  But the good news is after talking to her, I had no more cravings and thanked god for me being clean today...
She is not asking me for money, or to stay here, just how to get clean....She said she knows she needs meeting after, and is willing to do whatever it takes...She said she just can't handle the w/d's....
Any suggestions?????
thanks'

You are doing the right thing i would do the same. Just becareful for yourself and your sobriety. I have been an addict for many years and have relapsed many times but i have been taking sub for week so far and i have been feeling much better. It's different for everyone but the sub was my last hope. Aftercare is so important because the sub will help her not go through w/d but she will have to learn how to restructure her whole way of thinking as you know.
Good luck!

well i printed everything i could possibly get together, and i will give it to her...i will let her decide on her own...I think she is probably using more then she is telling me, so i do think sub may be her route...But that will be her choice...
I hope she can do this!!
Thanks for all the advice, i truly appriciate it!!!

If she feels she can't do the taper or cold turkey, then Suboxone is a good option. Better to do that than continue on the drugs. This girl is obviously wanting help. Tell her to go to ****.com and find doctors in her area. Check prices with a few of them because they can be very different. It really doesn't matter if shes not telling you the full truth about what shes useing or how much, we all know the shame we feel when first admitting our problem to others. She'll need to be truthful to the doctor though.
This is a great thing haveing someone come to you for help, recognizeing you have done it and wanting that for themselves. You never know whos lives you might touch and help just by example. Perhaps another life saved.
If you have any other questions about the Suboxone, PM me anytime and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Good Luck
