Well....I just wrote a whole page as a post but I guess it did not come through....Sundown M Ranch in Selah/Yakima....I went and it was great....I can tell you more about it if you are interested....It is good to get out of your immediate area and Spokane is only 3 hours away...Far enough to fight off the temptation of getting someone to "drop by" and close enough that your family can visit you when it comes time for them to participate in the recovery process....Hopefully this post goes through this time...Let me know if you need any information or just need to talk....
Have you gone to a N.A meeting ? They are free and most of the time someone there will be familiar with the programs in your area.
I'm certain some folks think I'm rude too. But if a see a person is just jerking around wanting the answers they want and not really wanting help like a drowning person willing to reach out and accept the advise of others but would rather do it their way. I lose patience and tell them to go do it their way until they Really WANT help.
Hi Abby. Don't give up if you feel you can't get through to them. You have taken the biggest step possible by saying that you need help. Can you get your husband to talk to them for you.Sometimes we,addicts, get a little testy trying to explain what we feel dealing with people who have not been there.
Some one from your area,on this forum, may be able to help you with a good place,I hope so. Keep going and don't give up. Good luck . kc
You have the right idea! Knowing that you are powerless and need help is the first step in the right direction. I don't know anything about WA, and I am sorry I have no advice, but I wanted to give you some encouragement!!!
I have been through detox myself a few times. Some in a rehab hospital setting and sometimes just at home. It makes it easier to WD in a hospital!
Good luck, sweetie!
