Klonipin for 5 mths or so

Hi,

Im new to this but im hoping someone can shed some light on my issue here.... I have been taking klonipin for nearly 5 mths now with a week break in there somewhere or maybe less than a week... in any case the dosage has been as high as 3 mgs a day and i cut it completely but just for a week or so cold turkey... I am wanting to do the same thing as I have been on 1 mg to 2 mg for the majority of the time just for complete recreation and after reading all this I think that I may have an issue as I am about to run out and I have no prescription for more..... I kow stupid to take non prescribed but I did it  anyways  I guess what im asking is how much of a chance do you have of having major side effects mainly seizures... Ive never really had them prior and I wam just worried because you guys or some of you guys seem to say it can kill you to get off too quickly.... any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so Much!

I agree with sara you must be tapered off this medication.  You can not go cold turkey.  It can kill you.  For real.  You may here of someone doing it but that is a rare case. Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing.

This needs to be tapered down slowly.  Please contact a medical professional and tell them what you have been doing.  You will need help with this.         sara
