Thanks for your support. I went to my first Narc-Anon mtg last night. It was so hard to to take that first step ... but everyone there was so supportive. I've been reading their materials and even if my sister does not decide to detox, I feel I will now have the tools to deal with her addition and behaviors much better. One member was sharing last night and said "I had just had enough.... I WAS DONE... I WAS JUST DONE!" That really hit home because I think in the last couple of months I have heard everyone of my family make this same statement about our sister. I can only pray this will help her to begin her recovery. I also emailed a Teen Challenge Women's Center and they have been very helpful. Ofcourse nothing will happen until my sister calls them to enroll in the program, but at least we have hope now. Again, thank you so much for your support.
teen challenge is a great christian rehab. GOD is the only one who can break the bondage of addiction. it is a life long battle. ny husband went into a christian program 2 weeks ago. first they send him to a detox for 5 days, he was on methadone, and has high blood pressure. he needed the detox in the hospital for a short time. now he
has been in the christian rehab for 10 days. he is still very sick. hasnt eaten or slept in 2 weeks, very weak and feels like he was hit by a mack truck. GOD will see him through. teen challenge is a year or so program. it changes the person doesnt just
dry them out. they learn about the love of the LORD and HIS grace and mercy.
i pray your sister decides to change her life and submit to the LORD.
God bless i will pray

Narc-Anon saved my butt! I learned so much from them about "not making it easy for my son to use". I can't say enough about how wonderful the "Anon" programs are for the suffering family of Addicts in and out of recovery. I wish you the best on the intervention. If you find a spark of willingness, fan it into a flame of recovery!! God bless.
