What causes a positive result for alcohol in a urine test if you don't drink?
I don't drink but my urine tests are positive for alcohol. Im also diabetic. Im about to be kicked off a suboxone program and I feel helpless.
I go to a suboxone clinic and I asked for a blood test. They said no and I should admit that I was drinking Im very frustrated because I don't touch alcohol I haven't had a drink even socially in 15 years.
I don't take any OTC products. Ive been very careful. I really think it has to do with my diabetes.
Wow!! I didnt even know that showed in urine!! Crazy how so many things can make a false positive!!

My daughter used to work for a monitoring company and she said deodorant will also give a positive reading.

Hi Toni, I agree about asking for a blood test. Also, lots of OTC meds have alcohol in them. Things like NyQuil, liquid cold meds, even mouthwash, and such. Are you taking anything like that? Good luck!
