What do I do now??

I'm 5 wks off methadone.  Doctor put me on morphine, then raised it, then patches.  Now the patches are not staying on.  I'm having to replace them and I'm hurting in my back (had 2 back surgeries) and so sick.  I think it's side effects from patches. Should I continue wearing them?

My niece is a pharmacist and she said the low dose I was on for the short time I was on it, the methadone should have been out in 20 days.  This is more like 32 days.  She said the 2- 50 fentenyl patches that I'm on, is a lot and it's probably side effects from them. She also said she doesn't know why he changed me from methadone to morphine and then these patches.  She said it was making my pain worse.

HI I think your feeling the methadone withdrawal its post withdrawal can last a few months it would be great to be narcotic free but the patches should be bringing some realeaf the patches are hard to ween off its ezer if your on hydros or percs then taper off from ther or just pull the plug on all of it and go threw the withdrawal but ill beet its the methadone messing with you it took me a good 90 day to start to feel right after I detox off the stuff hang in there better days are ahead good luck and God bless........Gnarly
