no insurance have hepc and need help coming off of alcohol and pain pills

been drinking and taking pain pills almost my whole life Started everyday atleast since i was 15 im now forty have hep c from being a needle junckie for most of those yrs No insurance and really need to stop my life style I just need help to get over the withdrawel atleast some I cant handle the shakes sweetin throwing up I want to stop but cant do it cold turkey Please give me some advise on what to do

Hi Hepcbo. Welcome to the forum. I hope the link above can help.. depending on how much you drink a day it should decide on how you stop this.. It is never recommended you stop drinking ct if you drink everyday for years. as you know mixing the pills and booze is so harsh on the liver. a friend once wrote that drinking with hep c you might as well drink cyanide.. I also have hep c and use to drink and drug I also got it from when I use to inject H.. Not easy knowing what we have done to ourselves. like you I had been high as far back as being a child. How I got into recovery. I found I really wanted to Live..I was committing suicide Oh so slowly..... we can give you tips on getting thru wd from the opiates but as far as drinking let us know how much DT's are no joke.. You may need to go to a clinic for help with meds from a Dr.. It takes a lil work but AA would be a start.. You can regain control of your life. You can Free yourself from active addiction. Hep C is not a death sentence but you have to work at getting clean to give yourself a fighting chance.. I wish you well. lesa

I work at a clinic that serves Hep C patients. We are able to order their meds through the pharm company at no cost to the patient because they are uninsured and low income. You do have to have a RX from your doctor, but the forms are available at the drug company websites.
