What is the Difference between Percocet and Vicodin?

Just wondering? Percocets seem stronger and Vicodin has never done too much for me?

Thanks for that Information and It makes sense to me now, Percs are stronger  and they are my devil. Best of luck to you also:) I hope I can sleep tonight I am having alot of anxiety. I am not going C/T just tapering but I still feel so Unmotivated. I just wish I had never done this to my body. But again thanks for your postive response It really helps to have people to talk to. If it was an Anology  I don't feel you would of said The Semi sarcastic remark made was 8ender was done "rightfully so" because as you said in your post This is a Forum for addicts to get support and get Clean and If I was trying to Score some pills and find a way to get really high or learn how to snort pills or whatever .That I was not in the proper forum and then you gave me the Phrase "Just a heads up" That this Forum is getting Clean and Off  Drugs. So No to me it wasn't an Anology. It really doesn't matter though I Know what I am here for and Trust its not to score. I wish That was the problem. If That was the Problem I had I wouldn't be here trying to get Help and Educate myself so That I can get Clean, And Hopefully that will happen. Lets just leave it at that. Percocet is a stronger drug and actually classified as a "C-II" under the DEA.  Lortab or Hydrocodone is a "C-III".  So, chemically it is stronger.  My first bout with narcotics I was addicted to percocet. (after the lortab wouldn't work anymore and i'd had shoulder surgery).  Total use was about a year and It was difficult w/d.  I went ct when I got off of the percs.  My last relapse was on lortab.  After using for about 3 months, the wd was very similar, not as intense, but there were many different things too.  I had the help of clonidine, and xanax (which i only took 2 times in a week).  I don't know if it was the difference in strength between the two drugs, or the length of time i was using them that was the difference but for me percocet is a much stronger drug.  I wish you luck in getting sober.

Please understand that my above post was not accusing you of trying to score, or snort pills...  I was merely using that as an analogy.

I was drug tested at work and they actually checked levels of the drug.  So, I bet different tests would be more specific on oxycodone vs hydrocodone.  If it were just a generic drug test, it would show up as 'opiates'.

I am upset Because it was not my intent to try and score pills , Or learn how to snort them I haven't done that I just swallow them and I am trying to get Clean and I have been reading all the Post about The different pills people are taking and Vicodin has never done too much for me So I was wondering what the difference was? and as Far as The Urine test Goes It was just a Question from things I had been reading, My Job doesnt require it I am lucky. But I do Hope to be free of this addiction very soon and I have been working very hard at it. I Probably am just a little sensitive, and That to shall pass.
