When will the withdrawl pains stop?

Ive been taking 1000mg of loretabs prescribed by my doctor for roughly over a year for nerve damage stemming from my back to my legs.I am a drummer and im afraid I cant perform without taking painkillers but its became I problem and I just want my life back.im on day 1 1/2 of trying to stop cold turkey and im in agony.most of my pain is in my legs and absolutely cant sleep...im just in such pain.it seems every minute its getting worse.how long will these withdrawls last?

Hi--  The motrin should be 800mg every 8 hours not every four.  Really force those fluids:water,orange juice and gatorade. It will cut your symptoms. Get some Hylands Restfull Legs at Walgreens or Walmart. Add protein to your diet and make sure you're eating!

1000mg of vicodin???  Are you sure?

get something to help with the rls, even nyquil helps with that and take motrin for the pain, its all i been taking for pain since i quit 6 days ago and im only 2 weeks past surgery so im tellin u it helps, 800 mg every 4 hrs hun. i wish u  luck u can do this!

Thanks for the positive words.lastnight was pretty hardcore.i didnt sleep much again and when I did I could actually feel this pain in my sleep.man I feel like sh@# right now.day 2 but im waging war on this awful addiction.hearing your on day 6 gives me positive hope that I can beat it too.are your pains getting less?im feeling very lethargic today and have terrible restless legs.im on my 3rd hot bath and ive only been out of bed for 2hrs.congratulations on day 6 and thank you for the advice

Hi,,,I am on Day 6 right now of withdrawing from Lortabs, not as high a mg as u, but i stopped cold turkey,,,It will totally suck, but as each day goes by, the symptoms will get a little less.,,,,I took Advil for the pain and aches, imodium ad for the stomach issues, but the worst was being totally exhausted and not being able to sleep,,,,If u have Xanax or Valium, take it before bed and it will help with sleeping,,,,For how long they last it prob depends on how much u were taking and how long,,,I was taking them for a little over a yr,,,Were u taking 100 mg a day?  I was only taking half of that, but also taking Percocet 5s off and on with that,,,,The first 3 or 4 days were the worst for me, they say wd last 7-10 days but depending on ur habit I guess it could be shorter or longer.,,,Its rough, but u can do it,,,I am the biggest baby ever when it comes to being sick or uncomfortable and if i can do it, so can u
