Which multivitamin for methadone taper

My husband is starting to taper down on methadone and we've read that there are a lot of supplements that may help.  I'm getting ready to order but I wondered if anyone could recommend a good multivitamin.  An article I read said that you need a multivitamin with a strong mineral component and that it should be in gel cap form only because methadone patients have poor gut function and can't absorb a regular pill as well.
Just for your information, I'm also ordering CalMag, Natural Calm, L-Tyrosine, L-Glutamine, milk thistle, alpha lipoc acid, fish oil with omega 3/6/9, and valerian root.
If anyone has any other suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I forgot to mention that he's been taking Ambien for about as long as he's been on the methadone and getting off of that is another fight for the future.  We figure one thing at a time!  That's why I wasn't going to order the melatonin.

He's been on methadone for about 14 years and he was on 120 mgs.  Right now he's on 100mgs.  He plans on doing a very slow taper because of the length of time he's been on the methadone.  He'll probably taper down 10 mgs a month until it gets too uncomfortable and then slow it down, so it will probably be a while until he needs the immodium etc., but I will certainly look into getting all the rest of that stuff when he gets closer to 20 or 30 mgs.
I'd get the amino acid complex now also, but I can't seem to find a good one on the internet.
Before I put in my order I researched prices and found that Vitacost seemed to have what he needs at a good price - especially the CalMag and Natural Calm which Feohmoon swears by.
There are so many one-a -day vitamins to choose from, although not that many in gelcap form for maximum absorption and I'm not sure which one's have the best mineral components.
I was hoping someone could give me a brand name or specific vitamin that they have had good luck with.
Thanks for all your suggestions.  I know we'll be using them all when the time comes.

add some melatonin to the mix and an amino acid complex.  get some immodium and a high protien multi vivamin nutritional drink, like boost.  any of the nutrition rich milkshake like drinks they sell to elderly patients who can't eat solids.  some epsom salts for the hot baths he will need to take, and something for restless leg syndrome.  hylands restless leg was reccomended a lot on here when i was going through it.  i never had the problem, but most do.how much is he tapering from, and how fast?
