does anyone else go through this in withdrawls? does your blood pressure seem to go up and your heart palpatate? this is what seems to be happening to me now. any suggestions on how to control it or ask doctor for short term med for it?

keep a watch on it if u have htn or anything...and it is good to talk to ur doctor if it is getting above 140/90.....clonidine is not addicting and used in small dose can make detox safer for someone with a bp problem

Yes your blood pressure can go up for some it goes why up I would go to the store and get a blood presseure cuff they are fairly cheap and keep an eye on it

It is a normal part of detoxing.  If you are detoxing off of benzo's (xanax, valium etc) or alcohol you need to see a doctor to have your blood pressure monitored and controlled w/meds.( or if you have underlying heart disease)  Otherwise just wait it out.  It is uncomfortable and goes along w/some anxiety.  Take vitamins that have magnesium, calcium and potassium in them.  If you can't find potassium supplements...eat bananas.

clonidine is the med doctors give for that symptom during detox...helps with sleep and stomach problems as well
