I struggle from chronic kidney stones, & Ive also had rotator cuff surgery...Im addicted to Lortabs & I want to quit badly...My insurance is terrible (almost like having no insurance)...I just want to get my life back...It's not like I dont have access to hydrocodone...It's just that I want to get off of them NOW!!!...Any prayers would be appreciated

Good Morning Helppleeze.. Prayers are going up !! I sure hope you speak to your Dr. about tapering off the loratabs. It is recommended as seizures can happen with wd depending on the amount taken and length of time.. also I have read many deal with depression Your Dr. can help with this. Many Dr.s do not think this drug is addicting..  You may have to educate him I did mine He was surprised.. You are your best advocate. the shoulder repair is behind you ? I had mine replaced last year and found I did not require pain meds but for the first couple of weeks after surgery.. I'm also prone to stones and infections Drink a lot of water our cranberry juice.. drugs dry us out and we do not replenish our bodies with fluids and this can be trouble if you are prone to stones.. anyway you can break free of your active addiction Just make a plan and stick to it. If you do taper you will need to hand your drug to someone you trust and let them dole it out to you This way you can stay true to the schedule and not be tempted to take more.. Keep a Positive attitude ok I have found the pains I deal with are less off the opiates then on. Take care lesa

Sending prayers your way my friend. My biggest suggestion is to seek aftercare. Na meetings aoda counseling etc. Dont suffer thru withdrawls for nothing. You can do this if you truly want it. The week you feel crappy is a small price to pay for having your life back. Keep fighting the good fight. Keep posting here. The people here are increible and a great support.
