Withdrawals

Hi everyone. It's been over 3 months since I got off Percocet . All is great and withdrawals were completely gone. But here is my new situation. I've recently had a health problem that causes excruciating pain and the doctors at the hospital gave me Percocet to help minimize the pain. I'm on 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours and will be for two more days. Total has been about a week.because I've had an issue with perc's before, will I go through any withdrawals , night sweats, restless legs ? I didn't want to take this kind of pain medication but we did try other things first with no success. I did have morphine but it made me blister and itch, Tylenol 3 hurt my stomach, Demerol didn't help at all and Advil also hurt my stomach. Would a week on this kind of medication throw me back into the pit?

Hey sweetie.. Pain pills serve a very valid purpose in life... Take them EXACTLY as prescribed and for ONLY as long as you need them. Since it's only been a week, wd's should be minimal. Be very careful that you STOP when your supposed to. You've come to far to throw it all away, right?

Honey if you are in pain that is not cool, but don't let your mind play tricks on you..please this is one thing you don't want to play around with ..its like playing with fire..Can you use naproxen..its a very strong type of IBProfin ...this is a journey you don't want to go down again..having a addicted mind and thought life is the hardest to over come you don't want to train yourself all over again. I am hoping you get much encouragement from this forum and  if you stop now you wont need to go through anything to oserious..just beating the desire to want more:) God Bless and don't quit or give up...there is always another way!
