Signs of Cocaine Abuse?

Hello all.  On day 2 of Subutex.  So far, so good.  Long journey though.  I need to ask if any one can tell me what signs there are to try to tell when someone is using cocaine.  I am getting just a little suspicious of a friend and just need to know some things to look for.  Thanks.

I agree w/ all of the above. Having abused cocaine in the past, things to look out for are the constant sniffles, staying awake at all hours of the night, increased (very increased) energy, & talking non-stop. Those were things that happened to me. People also use the pills to kind of counter balance the jitters you get while on the coke. Lots of times, they wind up going hand-in-hand. I'd talk to him about it. Not in a judgmental or confrontational way, but as someone who is battling her own addiction & can offer support or advice. Then maybe he'll open up about it. Good Luck.

well, as you  know if you confront him a real addict will lie, lol.  but on the other hand he will at least know you are on to him.  then maybe he will talk to you about it.  the money thing is kinda strange w/ the debit card and pin.  i cant believe that one.  and if it did happen the bank will return the money...i know this iam in the finance biz.  is he someone you care about romantically?  or really just a friend?  its a tough one but he is probably either using pills or coke or at the very least something....he could be snorting the pills, that makes for the sniffig and snorting too.  another stupid thing i did.  you just make sure you stay on the str8 and narrow missy!!!!i am watchin ya.

Honey, I just came off a a two day cocaine bing. If he says that he "lost his card and pin" he is probably using. I have used similiar lies, altho that one kinda stretches the imagination a little. The runny nose is a give away. watch his eyes, see if they kinda "jitter" back and forth, ever so slightly. The bigges give away is the up late , and money. Check "Gizzys" page, he is more of a snorter , where I became a smoker when I developed holes in my nose at age 15. If he is snorting, watch for slight unexpected nose bleeds.Good luck with this one and your own journey and much love....

He seems to have the last three signs.  And the nose issue with him is that he constantly sniffs and snorts.  It is so constant and annoying that I suggested he go to a ear, nose and throat doc.I may be getting ahead of myself here but there have been other signs.  He admitted to using pain pills but would never really come out and tell me what kind.  When I asked him to open up to me (as I did to him), he always hesitates and says he is too embarrased.  And I know how expensive pain meds can be but he seems to be going thru an awful lot of money.  He told me he lost his debit card and someone somehow got the pin # and has been taking $ out of his account.  I am having a really hard time with that one.  How would someone that "found" your card get ahold of your pin?  I am just worried that he is not being up-front with me.  Should I just come right out and ask him if he is using that stuff?
