Pretty sure she meant Methamphetamine but who knows. Anyway, I have had a few abcesess in my day and they are not pleasant. Get to the doctor and get antibiotics.

I totally agree with Snowflake. You are going to have to see a doctor to get antibiotics. A warm compress applied to the area will help with inflammation and pain. If you start to run a fever or notice red lines running from the site, please go immediately to the ER. This is a sign of a serious and possibly life threatening infection that has moved to your bloodstream. Please don't take this lightly. Good luck to you and please take care.

hmmm. ....ive been clean for a year of methadone, but my so called friends back in the day would shoot dope, one of them had a absess. You need antibiotics for the first two or three days and a hot warmer and place it on the abscess as much as possible. Shooting dope in the neck is extremely dangerous. I have to recommend that you got to aa meetings and quit, before its too late
