amazing drug

I'm new to this site .i am glad to know i have people to talk to with the same problems as I. I 'm on my thirteenth day of suboxone. I used 10 mg loratabs for 3 years taking about 5 a day. This medication has really changed my life and i'm only 2 weeks into it! I have not looked back and do not intend to! i wanna congratulate each one that made that step it was a wonderful feeling wasn't it! may you all suceed in this life changing experience! keep the positive attitude and believe in yourself and there will be a happy ending! i know at this point my life is more important than drugs! The one thing that amazes me is the money i've saved just in two weeks! everyone keep up the hard work!

Good luck to you. I went on Suboxone 2 months ago. Took away all cravings for pain pills and is saving me a lot of money in the meantime. (still have pain though). I am at the point where I do not crave the 'high" anymore which was my major issue with the pain pills.  I have heard that getting off the Sub is hard , but I feel that getting thru the need for that high is a big step for me.

i have had NONE of those problems you listed...i did have the sweating at first, but it went away. thats too bad...maybe your dose was all wrong?  to high or too low? i also tapered from 32 mgs down to 10 mgs RAPIDLY, and even back up to 16 mgs and back down to 10 again (trying to combat pain) and didnt have a problem... and i am on suboxone for 10 months now...thats too bad..i actually plan on dropping my dose another 2 mgs in the next couple of months, well next time i see my sub doctor...
i feel great...this is my chance to get the help i needed, therapy, make all the necessary changes needed, get my mind filled with knowledge and information that will help me deal with all the issues that led me to addiction to begin with...and also learn how to combat these issues when and if they should rear their ugly heads again...
i am happy with my decision, and it was an well informed decision at that...
well your on the other side now...good for you!!!

Suboxone is Great, allows us to forget about pills and function at a high level, but I was a long time user, I came off 20 norco's a day so maybe that was my problem, but in my opinion Suboxone long term is a losing proposition ( IMO ) After 2-3 months on the drug I realized I was functioning, but I wasn't the same person, no desire to work out ( w/o every day for 25 years ) No sex drive ( Pills also killed that) Sweating at inappriopiate times, started becoming tired all the time ( mostly when i tried to taper ) Was not Me!  I couldn't get off Sub no matter how hard I tried ( and I did) Went back on Hydro for 3-4 weeks with taper to get off Suboxone. Today Day 25 Sub and Pill Free........  Just my story nothing more...

Hey, so glad for you!  I'm two months on suboxone, and I feel the same way you do.  Everything is new, you can taste things better, smell things better (well maybe sometimes that's not a good thing..hehe!).  I'm really happy for you, stay here on the forum, it's been a great help to me.
