Hey you!
Congratulations to you on your 49 days clean. I'm ever so proud of you! You've really come a long way.
Drug dreams are really common for some folks. I had them throughout my time of usage (30 + yrs.-- boy I hate writing that!) Some people have them afterwards. It's no coincidence that the Kratom in your dream 'blindsided' you and caused you anxiety. This is natural and actually, I happen to believe, a warning from your subconscious about the need to keep your 'Guard Up'.
I know you've got a month and nineteen days clean but the fact is your body/mind is still healing. I know that you have real anxiety issues from way back but there is definitely a higher level of anxiety/depression for those in PAWS (I know there is for this girl!) So, I know it's hard, but try not to fixate on your anxiety levels.
Have they ever taught you any other ways of distracting yourself/lowering these levels? Have you tried any of the different therapies out there besides just AD's. As I mentioned earlier, they're not a 'magic bullet' and it might be helpful to add some other tools to your box, here. Just a thought, my friend. Glad you posted. Keep up your great work and once again...Kudos to you
Annie
Hi..Sounds like part of the Addition to me. I know you have seen a Dr about things. So just go with the Flow it should ease up.
Hey if you can go into my Journal on "The Nature Of Addiction" It talks about Anxious Depression". Are you getting to any meetings?? You are doing a wonderful job. Just keep riding the wave it does take a while to get to the beach.
yes its normal for sure. I battled it big time. Itw as the last symptom to go. I noticed big improvements along the way. At 15 days in, then at one month, then 3 months 6 months, 9 months and then a year, and now after a year its gone. It goes away gradually.
hang in there. I pushed through it by telling it I wasn't going to let it win. I have come this far and you are not going to stop me anxiety monster!
hang in there, and make sure you make some time for you. A candlelit bath, or even candlelit shower really help, and meditation helps to.
It will end, I promise,
hugs,
Lily
