it is great that you are helping your mom....But please listen to avis and the other that have detoxed off of ultram.....It can't be c/t...
Even though the doctors say it is non narcotic, it is a terrible drug i have heard to come off of... Can't wait until doctors finally understand this..
Good luck, and stay strong....You are a god sent to your mom...
Stay here and we can also help you to understand addiction, so that u never have to go through this, I am sure your mom is a wonderfull person, otherwise u wouldn't be there

OK I see she is on 10 to 15 a day .She really has to taper ,that is way too high of a dose to CT off of .If you would like I can help you with a taper ,but it is going to take some time to get her all the way off.
Hey isn't ultram one of those drugs that has like a time and a half life that it lasts in your system. I remember people talking about it saying that it is really a bad one to get off of.
Look on her perscription bottle and call the doctor, and if he can't be reached, the pharmacy that it was filled should be of some help.
alex she has to taper off of ultram if not she could have sezuires .How much is she taking and how long has she been on it ?
I agree with sajonna....i just looked it up...and ultram should not be stopped c/t....She needs to taper....Can she get more, and u give them to her...And when avis gets here she can make u a taper schedule??

Alex, If mom has been on these for 4 years I think she might want to try to taper. Was she on this for a specific medical condition? And has the medical condition improved at all? Is she getting them from a doctor?
Reason I ask, is if she stll is going through a medical condition then she will need something for her pain. And I ask if she is getting from a doctor because if she is, you can always go with her and talk the doctor and get him to give you enough to taper her. She is lucky to have you. You can keep the pills in a safe place and dole them out to her on the taper.
I have a medical condition too and I hear alot of people in my support group always say that Ultram is a dirty drug to get off of. I have learned alot here. If you read through the posts you will learn alot too. Some people are all for CT and some like the taper. But with you here to help, the taper might be best.
Great that she is being open and honest...Look at the health pages on the side..There are things you can get to help her...
Avis has alot of experience in this, so hopefully she gets on soon and can help...
I don't think she can go C/T off of this medicine,as it can cause seizures..
i will try to call avis .

Thank you for the kind words. She has been taking them for 4 years now. Each pill is 50mgs and she takes between 10-15 per day. Her last pill was this morning, she took her final 5. I'm surprised how open to questioning she is being. She wants to stop. My begging must have gotten me somewhere.
