awake again...

so my mom did bring over the ambian, gave me one, took the kids and sent me to sleep for over an hour.I got up a bit later had some tea and a vitamin shake  and went right back to sleep for severl hours- well until about 20 minutes ago. around 1:45. Not bad peeps! I'll have to take another here shortly to ensure I can get back to sleep and stay asleep. And let me tell you I feel soooo much better already! I knew sleep was key here. (as you've all said)
And to whoever asked if my mom has an addiction propblem? Yes she does. For 20 years. I believe her doc should be locked up! She's prescribing her slow release morphine60mg-180, ambian(60-10's),xanax(60),percocet 10's (180)!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I had been givin that amount of drugd I'm not sure I 'd be here right now.

I'm glad you got the sleep you did good luck. They did the same to my mother she was in pain managment taking morphine oxy mix 180's in the AM and the PM and a 80 quick release for the day. Luckily she checked her self into detox b/c she works for a pharmacy and was finally told what she was actually taking that she was dependent on it and what she was doing to her body. Her doctor had the nerve to tell her she was "physicly dependent" not "addicted" she said F you and checked her self in. If your mother has the insurance and the strength tell her she might want to look into it. Detoxing yourself from that much can be very dangerous!! Both of you take care i wish you all the best. Remember i kno you get the looks from your kids i went through it with my mother but they love you unconditionaly and they will be there for you when you need. them focus on your self and getting your self better. If you children are old enough and you think they can handel it maybe considering telling them. my mom told me she had a problem at 13 and i was able to be there for her and help her out with my little brother more than she would have thought or hoped. hang in there and good luck!!!!!

I'm glad you got some sleep Natalie. You've done such a good job so far. I know it's hard.  My experience has always been that I didn't find it hard to not score when I was horribly sick and still in bed but when I started to feel better and started to get around I would eventually ask myself, "Really? This is it?" And that's when I would be most vulnerable. As you start to feel better you might want to take the time to re-commit and to start to think about what you are going to do to keep from going back as the memory of withdrawal fades. It might seem hard to believe but it does fade. People don't remember pain well in general. I think we evolved that way because after watching my kid's births I'm sure that if women remembered pain no one would have more than one child. Good luck.
