90 hours down, and a lifetime to go!  Feeling  tremendously better by the hour!  Still not there, but at least I can see where there is.  Any hoot! Just thought I'd chime in for a little support.  I love this site!  And, for those doing the damn deal, hang in there!  Cause Papa Bear loves ya!!!  PEACE....

You are so right!! My dr had NO sympathy and he. Was the one who started me on these evil pills! I never had addiction issues prior. His suggestion was go get detoxed or just take this muscle relaxer, you'll feel fine in a couple days! The nurse practitioner actually told me there was no evidence to suggest severe wd coming off a low dose of hydro Which was 30-40 mg. I was like r u crazy ( I was taking 40-50 at that point just to get some relief after 2 years) and even if I missed one dose I was shaky. Insane! No evidence?? We must all be crazy!

Keep pushing through it.  Like most have said above, your almost through the bad part.  It's mostly mental from here on out.  You can do this!!!  Your exactly right about your comment about the medical professionals and them turning their backs on us.....that is sooo dead on!!!

Thanks to all! I have been taking opiates for the last four years.  Oxycontin and Norcos mostly. About 60 -70 mgs combined daily.  Unfortunately I was on here a few months ago with some success stories. So I have only been back on them for a few months which is why, I'm guessing, the detox process wasn't anywhere near as painful as it was last time.  This is my third full detox in a years time, and with God as my witness, this will be the last.  And by the way, we need a renaissance in this country on how poorly the medical profession is trained when it comes to addiction.  We have to take the stigma out of addiction and put knowledge and understanding into the people we trust our lives with.  I went to the ER at the beginning of my detox, and the doctor handed me a brochure for a $30,000 rehab and told me good luck.
