clonidine

so i just got out of the ER. i had a stroke 7 years ago and my leg was getting really numb again and i thought i was having another stroke. i told the dr. about my hydro addiction and he said that the symptoms i am having are from the w/d's.  he gave me some clonidine(i think thats how its spelled) to get me off the tabs and its suppose to help with the w/d. anyone with any experience with this pill?

it can help wd alot..altho rls is usually not really numbness but tingling and an urge to move the extremity////in a nutshell RLS is a lack of dopamine cos it will take a while for ur brain to catch up...when the body feels an outside supply, it will dcrease or even cease production of the NT or hormone etc..hence the reaon peopler instructed to taper off steroid packs.....parkinsons is caused from a lack of dopamine..unfortunately their brain does not recover like an addicts will///and sometimes an addict will not recover completely as the new gates they have built in the brain will remain...but the tremors of rls r very physiclly kin to parkinson tremors ..when ur brain starts healing u will heal...hang tight

  I took Clonidine for several days during detox.  It really did make a difference in helping with my withdrawl symptoms.   Helped to keep me calmer and in my skin.  I also had a few tranzene that I took ( I cut them in halves ) .  These two things along with the Immodium and otc pain meds were a hugh help for me.
