ochooked is so right...u can read between the lines...u just know when u r recovered who will make it..it is little words and phrases that are the cue...someone who comes on and is confident...done...sick and tired of being sick and tired has a good chance...like u...someone who comes on telling all the reasons they can not do it...or blaming everyone else for their addicton  "the doctor made me do it" and saying they can not do it...saying i am gonna fail...well....later gator...maybe next time around...gotta know this is it and be so tired of the rat race...then u will succeed

O.K. Sway - -here's the deal -- you (like I said earlier) are going to make it --- many of us can tell from early posts just who is likely to really break the grip of the pills -- You most definitely fit that category -  You are doing all the right things ---- What we would really like you to do though is take this site with you, if you are able, through and after you finish the W/D process ---- there are many people who come to check out the site and find encouragement from people like you who are able to break free----  Many think that they are just too weak to get clean - but they are no different than you or anyone else -- the difference is that you really want to be clean and are willing to do the hard part to do it.  Wish you all the best and will look forward to your future posts.

sway here. thanks for you words. they meant alot. i went to the doc and had him promise to never do it again. the thomas recipe thing came up, so i did get a small amount of low dose valium, that my hubby is doling out to me only as directed. spent a bunch of money on the supplements and stuff, but compared to the spending i was doing, well..... you know. so let the regimen begin! thanks again. sway

The darvocet should be pretty easy to get rid of.  They are a fairly mild narcotic.  Even less than Codiene.  The percs will cause you some problems.  How long have you been taking them, and how many do you take a day?  That will give us an idea of how severe your w/d symptoms will be, and how long you will be under the weather.

I have CT from lortab and another time percocet.  percocet was more difficult for me.  It seems there was more anxiety and emotional issues when I was detoxing off that.  Nevertheless, with both I was only physically ill for about 4-5 days.  For about a week after that, you will feel really drained, lethargic.  Try to get a little exercise in even if it's just a walk down the street and back.  Don't think it will always be that way.  Your energy will return, along with your love of life and you'll be so happy you decided to quit using.  Read up on the Thomas Recipe and Amino Acid protocol.  Take what you will from each of these, and reach out for support (here on this site, or friends/family) when it gets really tough and you don't feel you can go on anymore.

Hi Sway --  Yeah, I got a pearl for you -----  I believe you will make it --   I just read another comment you left on a post and saw something that makes me believe you are a success story waiting to happen.  You said you were going to tell your doctor - your supplier -- right?   That was the single best thing I did and as it turned out - it was the one thing that kept me going --- I burned my bridges back to the refills of Oxycontin and Percocet -- without that 'crutch' I was able to make it --- and you will too.  I can tell you without any doubt that you are going to love the new you.  There are advantages to being clean that I had no idea were there ---  pleasures galore --  (but this is not an x rated site so I won't go into all of them) - Let's just say - you are going to enjoy things you had almost given up on.   Life is sweet after pills --  I am doing things I only thought were history.  I go out more than I ever did - enjoy myself more - make friends even better than when I thought I needed a pill to loosen me up.  I encourage you to make the journey to being clean -- it will be worth the trip.  Please keep posting -- and reading this site --  you are at the right place.  All the best.
