120 mgs a day is very do-able..I was at approximately this dose for 4 yrs and managed ct with 4 days off work...no horrible jumping all over the floor or vomiting as I thought it maight be...flu-like and very tired..i posted here a few weeks before I stopped and learned alot to help me make it thru as I had tried tapering over and over..I suk at tapering and this I know
With my addiction, I did not quite fel I needed to check into a psyche ward under lock and key..but we r all different with different doses, doc, length of use and triggers or (issues) we have that cause us to use.  Before I decided to check into a psyche ward, I may would evaluate my other options and u defintely have some..and it is not true that all "psyche" wards will taper u down and let u stop peacefully...being a nurse and having worked on a psyche ward, as a rule they do not let u take ur meds in with u...when a dr does get around to seeing u, he may prescribe a few drugs to help u thru this but not ur DOC...a psyche ward does not specialize in tapering addicts off of their DOC...most inpatient addiction clinics will not do this either//nor jails....would be nice just to "check in" and get off ur DOC pain free//but that is not reality..the reality of checking into a psyche ward is that it may be very difficult to get ur bu11 out of this psyche ward cos u voluntarily checked urself in which in turn caused u to give up ur rights..not worth it for a 120 mg a day habit..psyche wards are "locked down"...u do not just get up and walk outside cos u wanna...if u r in need of psychiatric care for a mental illness then perhaps this is for u...otherwise be leery of advice so drastic..it can get u in deep doo doo...have seen it happen

be safe//also safe about where u decide to lock urself into..and keep posting

Chris, I was taking the same amount as you for 3 years..not for pain but for recreation. No sense in weaning off it won't work your mind will tell you its ok for "1More". See your Doc..Be honest  I got Diazpane it REALLY helped wwith WD.  Yes you will Yawn alot, have a running nose, maybe some diarhea  so what?  So far I am 4 days clean and just flush my private stash of 50 Oxycocone down the toilet, so they can't call my name to come get them. I can't beleive how much better I feel today  100 hours clean..The sights and I can smel again" we went out to dinner tonite.
The Diaz[ine is making somewhat of a Zombie and havn't sleep well for 2 nights but I think tonite I wll.   Chris If I can do it  YOU can too!!  Don't give in just DO IT!

Post here also. read posts if nobody is here at the moment you are usually someone will come along shortly. Other people can help with the taper schedual. But I personally think it just delays the wds longer. dont forget to make the phone call to your peeps to say you don't want any more pills because you made this great decision to get clean and get your life back.  congrats !! One of the mind games I played on myself to help was ,, I said, :\" If the men and women can MAN UP in Iraq and Afganistan for my freedom then I can man up and fight for it too!!

You will need to get help in one way or another...you may have a freind that can help you taper.  Have them hold your pills and give them to you on a schedule.  I tried to taper alone and it NEVER worked.  Take St. Johns Wart or another anti depressent while you taper it will help.  Take a lot of vitamins and drink plenty of water.  Stock up on immodium, benedryl, aleve and any other OTC meds used for the flu or headaches.  Go to NA meetings and be honest you will find support.  If all else fails be honest with your doctor and ask him or her for help. Do it you deserve to live.
