Need pain control

So maybe you misunderstood my post. The dr. assistant did refill my script, not only did he refill after he called me a addict he gave me stronger norcos. I didn't realize it until I got home or I would of ask him to change the strength. As far as using other things for pain I also rotate ibprophen and aleve. I have my heating pad at all times, my husband bought an adapter so I can take it in the truck with me. I take hot showers and baths to relax. Another thing to use for heat relief is to take a big bag of white rice and dump it in a small pillow case put a rubberband around it and pop it in the microwave until its hot. It's safer to take to bed so you don't fall asleep with your heating pad on. Also it holds heat well, you just shake the rice around as it cools. You can also use it as an ice pack.
I do have severe pain. It didn't happen over night it has been getting worse and worse for about 2yrs. Just over the last 6 mons it has got extreme. I don't get a buzz when I take a pill.I get pain relief. I have about 4 days a month that Iam pretty much unable to get up because of the pain even with pills.  I have my cycle twice a month so Iam now on more than Iam off. I have faith the hormones will if nothing else regulate my cycles which in turn will limit my pain, Iam blessed to find a gyno that has an aggressive approach to helping fix me rather than cover the problem with pills.
Anywho, I just want to add some info to my last post. I appreciate the feedback. I will continue to read post for one to help me stay on guard about my pain control, but also to send arrow prayers and hopefully I can encourage as I've been encouraged.

Well I think we all can relate to the pain experience...as well as our tolerance w/ hydro's / opiates.

It's a fight for what we all want. To me, as I type with my leg in pain, am still tapering off these 7.5 regardless. Just like you, I don't get a hydro buzz like I did in the begining, but that's not even the reason I take them now anymore.

These stupid hell bound opiates ruin everthing in peoples lives! I will not argue the fact for a temporary use of medication for it's given purpose...but with being a addict, we start when we first feel that "care free buzz" and we all know how the story goes.

Somehow, I am still holding a 2 right now, and depending on God to get me thru this pain and off these stupid Hydro's once and for all.

I think the biggest mistake we all make, is we try and justify it from the begingin...even after we truly know the pain has gone away. Then when we try to quit taking the meds, our body is so used to it, every bone in our body hurts..lol...but true.

As far as your prayer request...you got it! Sending them up right now for you!

God Bless You!
love,
Todd

What is your pain problem?   Is it back related?...I have chronic pain as well......just can not use narcs anymore for it as my tolerence was going out the roof....But I am still young (not real young) lol and have to keep going....the narcs were not my answer but it took me several years to figure this out.....I also hear that some do not become addicted and can stay at a regulated dose....I could not...so I know I am addicted to narcotics and they can not solve my pain problem...they caused me more problems than back pain and headaches in the end...I was losing ME...Those I love were also losing me....I still hurt taking the pills and was losing myself and that was more painful than my back pain or the headaches....everyone has different circumstances...keep posting
