clean and weight gain

Has anyone gained weight after quitting drugs? If so how long have you been clean & how much weight have you gained?

I'm 43 days clean & have put on 5 pounds. I'm happy weighing 125 but I don't want to gain another 5 next month then another 5 the following.... That's scary!!
I realize I haven't eaten since 2005 lol or at least not feeding my body the nutrients it needed while using and everyone says "you look so much healthier now" I just feel better at 120 & cannot take off a measly 5 pounds. Been watching what I eat & I jog 4 days a week.

How much weight have you gained & are you ok with it?

I have been clean just over 4 months and as yet have put on 25kilos (I'm not sure what that is in pounds, I think well over 50). I was terribly under weight before but now im feeling self conscious about my belly and not fitting into any clothes

I have been taking Norco for 4 years, in the last year I have lost about 25-30 lbs and it's a healthier weight than I have ever been. I have only been taking one to three a day and decided yesterday that I no longer want to take them. A lot of people have been telling me that I look better then I have in years. I do not want to put the weight back on. I have started the WD and so far not so bad. I am determined to start living again and to stay at this weight.

Hey! Congrats on 43!!!!

I am definitely adding junk to my trunk! I was at 95 when I started detox, so the extra 10 lbs has REALLY been a blessing. I eat at least every 2 hours, and I eat every bite!!! No shame in my game sister!

I will stop the trough feeding when I reach around 115~ exercising helps place it where it needs to go, however would really like it to avoid a few and gather in a few places!!!

The body was starved for nutrient. It is being refueled as we speak. Eat up and enjoy every morsel!!!

Love you girl

I lost a few pounds in early days of withdrawal, then gained them back a few days later I think because I was eating more due to the withdrawal. Now my appetite is less again and I am losging the same few pounds once again. I am only on day 12 or 13 of withdrawal though.

I've think I initially gained some weight because I allowed myself to eat whatever I felt like having while going through the wd's.  I also feel like I ate more because of the boredom from not being high anymore.  When we're high we can spend the afternoon or evening sitting around or doing whatever without getting so fricking bored.  I think getting sober makes you realize that you were't doing anything and you end up getting out and going back to doing the things you did before you got into the pills.

My appetite has gone WAY down since I stopped taking hydrocodones. Like a HUGE decrease. I hardly ever eat anything. I think that I have lost a good 20 pounds since January 21st.
